A letter was received from Sri A Balasundaram who belonged to the first batch of the High School and the son of the brother of Sri A Murugesa Mudali states that the high school in the village established by the feudal lords was ill managed and was limited to 8th standard only. Though they tried hard to get higher classes they were not successful.
With the interference of Sri Varadacharlu the school was recognised as High school from the year 1948 and that Sri Varadachari participated in the first High School Annual Day celebrations. He has sent a photograph taken on the occasion.
Further he mentions that the first cinema hall Shivashaktivel was inaugurated by Sri Varadachari, who was instrumental in providing both education and entertainment to the people of Nagari.
Herein above is a photograph sent by Sri A Balasundaram as referred by him in his letter.
Shri.Varadachari was also the committee member of the Thirupati - Thirumala Ghat Road Formation Committee which took up the making of the first road from Tirupati to Tirumala.
This apart he had several poor people who would come on a regular basis for having lunch and dinner and also on every weekend when poor feeding was arranged. Many people stayed in his house for the purpose of finishing education or for the purpose of participating in the freedom struggle. Both Shri.Varadachari and Smt.Mangammal were very hospitable and took great care of their guests. They were known for their kindness by all.
